Saying that we don't deserve books because we have no intention of following through is not only plain out idiotic but it's completely self righteous. Who are you to dictate how we play the game. We may perhaps have every intention of completing books, just in a different way and at our own pace.

If you decide that you can do 11 things at once, you agree that you can fill 11 spaces at once then.
Extra storage space should only be warranted in cases where extra storage space is necessary, and space for holding books that accomplish 11 different tasks is far from that. The reason Crafting Materials, of all things, was able to get storage space is because there's 35 different materials, and multiples in large numbers of each are required to craft just about anything.
With books, you people only see two options: bring it with you and fill the page, or put it in storage and pay for the page later. Both of those take up space, and that makes you qq. How about you just go with option three and not get a book? They're only worth it if you're going to fill half of it out, so there's not since in carrying one along to do one mission from a campaign, and there wasn't nearly as much complaint before the update about books not even existing for prior campaigns.

Extra storage is not bad. It's just not necessary and practical for a situation like this.
There's not any true reason to complain about not having space for filling the books if you didn't complain before the update about not having them.

Armor storage. Hell yeah. I've been unhappy with Anet for ages because there is none. Bookshelf or book bag. Hell yeah also. There is too much to store when you have multiple characters.

It has been proven that the NPCs have been VERY unreliable.

I would love more storage and I hope at some point we do get a little more.
Probably by allowing other items to stack and or an increase from 250 to maybe 500 per stack in the materials section.
I recon the books are a problem only for established players not for the newcomers who will use up books as they progress.
Due to my chatotic playing style I have characters with eye map pieces, charr battleplans and translators for same farming armour sets and now books.
It does tend to clog things up but much of it is my own fault.
It was a good update to the game though so well done Anet for the work.

You all are being unrealistic. The only reason Anet listened to you guys on Ursan, etc. is because it didn't cost them anything. If Anet gave you more storage space, you wouldn't use as many mules, so they'd lose money. And I don't think you're going to see Anet give up their sizable character slot purchasing revenue anytime soon.

As always, the only real way I can see to solve storage problems is removing the need for storage, like they did with Zho's Journal.
With plot books, you can make missions and quests without them, and add the entries afterwards by paying gold.
But with plot books, we have the problem of keeping track of whatever we have done. We can either use the book or use our memory.
Personally, my memory is HORRIBLE BAD.
So, how to solve that? One thing is sure, we know the number of times a mission is made is saved, since if you can add its entry the same number of times you made them.
So, what's left to do?
Adding a new tab to the Log panel, where the number of times each mission and Eye of the North repeatable quest made is shown.
There are other storage issues with miniatures, weapons, armor and other stuff, but that's discussed in other threads.

We have needed this from the beginning. I am so tired of having to have so many characters that I cant play any more without moving 45 items to another character.Especially with a full storage. Its gotten to the point that i have now....5? characters that i dont play any more because of the extra crap we have now. I know, its not exactly crap.... but.....
I have 5 sets of armor for each "playable" charicter, all the sweets that we get thruout the year, over 45 pets...thats 1 plus part of another characters full. (I know get rid of them right? Just cant bring myself to do that). Let alone all the weapons and mods etc.. that we all keep as a just in case. And then theres the things we all collect thruout the year for the holiday collectors. And now.... more books.
We defiantly need something to be done in a hurry, weather it be like stated above or something else, but something and in a hurry PLEASE!!!

People will never understand the difference between what is "required" and what is "nice to have." More space is never required, but always nice to have. If it's absolutely required, then how are people handling the storage situation now?

Here is my take on the storage issues. If it wasnt for 2 storage accounts i would be QQ'n all over the place. That said, all these books are getting out of hand. I think each character should be given a bookshelf storage for all the different books we continue to have to carry along with us. (all the npcs do NOT fill in the pages) Also I would like to see a character specific tab allowed in the Storage vault, one that none of the other characters could use in the vault, my thought was for armor or things like that. As the game gets along in time, people start to hoard, as well, the game continues to get new books, if you carried each of the books needed throughout the game, as well as a salvage and id kit and any weapons whatsoever you have already covered your entire 1st tab in storage, after that, doing any sort of area with 200+ enemies like vanquishing or dungeons and you have no way to have any room to carry 1/2 the things that drop for you, even with h/h.
/signed moar storage!

It would maybe help if we didn't need the books in our inventory AT ALL. Suppose this: a new NPC is added to your guild hall for a fee. A reasonable fee. Each time you acquire a book the first time you show it to him, much like the hat dude. You pay 10g and he agrees to put the book in his archives.
Then, every time you do something relevant to a particular book, you go back and see him and there's a new button that says something nice like "I have a new story I'd like you to record." And then a page is added to the relevant book.
At any point you can click on a button that says "I'd like to read a book." And you can check your progress in a particular book and read the fanciful writing that Anet staff came up with.
When your book is full (or at least to the point where you can start turning it in for rewards), there's another button that says "I'd like to take my book now." And the book goes into you inventory and you can give it to whomever you'd like.
I think this idea is a lot more /win than programming another storage tab or whatever.
